Fear and Loathing

Ben Tayler is a man stuck between his own ideas, ideals of the heart and mind. He states, " My mind tells me, at least be cautious... but my heart tells me these are people too." This is a man that wants to except all people as equal but his mind wont let him undermine what has occurred in history and around the world. Ben is a person that has an overwhelming emotional reaction to world crisis and civility conflict, all laced through his own fear. His research is just adding to his own anxiety due to all the negative things happening in the world that he has kept himself isolated from. Ben struggles with the friction between different forms of society and his research about immigration is exposing his mind to the exact things that stress him.

I do a couple things to make sure sources I use are credible but the most obvious for me is checking the URL of every internet source. This is an easy way to finding a credible source, Make sure the URL has a scholarly title such as ".gov"or ".edu", then I research the credentials of the article itself and the anther. I also believe that online data basses are good forms of credible sources because one can often find original sources instead of getting tied up in re-written drafts. I dont believe that people can discuss controversial issues without being bias. In order for an issue to raise controversy there must involve outside opinions. These opinions are what different individuals gravitate towards due to personal knowledge and or experiences. As long as there is a personal aspect to an issue, there will always be bias.

I decided to do my paper on the heath field employee community. I decided to research it based on current knowledge. I wanted to see if all the aspects of becoming an employee in the health field came across intimidating (School, certifications,expenses) and if it played a role in what path they chose to reach there specific profession.
